Moncks Corner Pediatrics

Dr. Joseph West of Moncks Corner Pediatrics has the same dilemma most physicians have, how to purchase a Electronic Medical Record system and qualify for the federal stimulus money without spending a large amount of money up front.  This also compounded in Dr. West's case, because of being a solo practice as well as a rural area healthcare provider.

 Dr. West, then spoke with Tim McCord with Henry Schein, about his concerns regarding this issue.  Tim being familiar with Allscripts though the partnership between Henry Schein and Allscripts, told Dr. West that Allscripts could have a solution to meet his needs.

In my meeting with Dr. West, it was apparent that the federal incentives were important to his practice, but the added problem of running a rural healthcare practice, with a limited budget with the reimbursement that is primarily from Medicaid and Rural Health.  By using Allscripts MyWay, and showing how savings could be accomplished in other areas and increasing his practices efficiency, this would allow these savings to be shifted into areas to provide the best care possible for their patients, and allowing for time for more time for him and his staff to devote to patient care, while still meeting the demanding requirements of the Rural Healthcare Program.  By using Allscripts MyWay, a complete, simple and affordable EHR solution, the resources of Allscripts, and the expertise the Coastal Healthcare Solutions, we will be able to accomplish this.
